Powertrain Innovation Group builds heavy-duty electric vehicle platforms with a strong focus on agriculture. Our work combines deep engineering expertise with practical farming experience. We design machines to work in real conditions, not controlled environments.
Our roots are in farming. Juho Könnö’s home farm was established in 1668, and it continues to operate today. The farm is our laboratory — where assumptions are tested against soil, weather, seasonal constraints, and the economics of real work.

Alongside this practical grounding, we bring extensive experience in engineering, powertrain development, electrification, and system integration. We focus on architecture-level decisions, integration risk, and validation — the areas that determine whether a platform can be industrialized.
How we work
- Reality first: duty cycles, environments, and economics define the design.
- Engineering depth: architecture, powertrain, controls, and validation are treated as a system.
- Measured decisions: data and testing guide choices before hardware is frozen.
